Welcome to Elev8!

Hey there! Thanks for stopping by. We're glad to have you here! Introductions first; we are People of Programming, an organization dedicated to fostering the learning of STEM through workshops, hackathons, and tutoring. This will be our first hackathon, though we've hosted numerous in person talks about programming.

Elev8 is a 2-day event that brings together developers, designers, entrepreneurs, and innovators from around the world to collaborate, network and create innovative solutions to real-world problems. The event will be held from June 16th to June 18th, and the challenge is to develop creative solutions to the most pressing challenges of today's world.

Rules

• Cross submission is allowed to a maximum of one other hackathon
• Participants may not begin programming before the hackathon begins; however, ideating is allowed
• Correlation to the theme is a major factor in judging
• Participants may use tools like StackOverflow for aid, but have to submit code, which does not include static site generators like Wix or Google Sites
• Participants will need create a 2-3 minute pitch video showing their project off to the judges
• A short, or long, write up of the project is required on the Devpost submission
